On Labor Day, SML Photo Club meets at the SML library from 7 pm – 9 pm to improve photography skills. This free event is open to all skill levels of photography.
50th Labor Day Fest
Located in Buena Vista, VA, the 50th Labor Day Fest starts with a parade at 9 am. There will be fun for the whole family.
Enjoy the Outdoors
Smith Mountain Lake has a beautiful state park. This park has many options to keep residents outdoors and enjoying nature. Camp out in the park for some rest time away from work. Take in the views while kayaking, canoeing, or hiking the trails.
If the SML state park doesn’t sound enjoyable, try water recreation on SML. There is plenty of room on the 500-mile shoreline to spend the day at the beach.
Some families may choose to take the day to visit local shops and restaurants. Others may spend it together on the beach. No matter how a family chooses to spend their Labor Day, it should be full of fun.
